When I first started publishing the Blackwood Security series, I read my reviews, and like all authors, I cried at the bad ones. Then I realised they had a theme - not everybody liked Emmy's potty mouth.
I couldn't change those books because a larger number of people loved Emmy's irreverence and cursing, but it did get me thinking... And so I started creating adapted versions of those books - clean, but not squeaky. I found it was fun coming up with reasons for Emmy not to drop the F-bomb all over the place, although she still manages to express her frustration!

The main storylines in the Cleaned Up versions are the same, but some scenes have been taken out and others added. I even wrote a completely different free novella to go with the clean version of Forever Black - Black to Vegas tells the story of Emmy's second Las Vegas wedding.
The adapted versions have no swearing and no on-the-page sex - perfect if you like your books with plenty of action but a little tamer. Bonus: my mum absolutely loves them.
